Improving delivery flow from concept to release
SAFe DevOps is designed for organisations that want to improve how work moves across the full value stream, rather than treating development, testing, deployment, and release as disconnected activities. It brings technical and non-technical roles together around a shared understanding of flow, bottlenecks, handoffs, and feedback.
The course helps participants look at the end-to-end delivery pipeline, understand where time and effort are being lost, and explore practical ways to improve speed, quality, and predictability. It is not only for engineers, it is equally relevant for the wider set of people involved in defining, building, validating, approving, deploying, and releasing value.
For organisations working in or around SAFe, this course is particularly useful when delivery is slower than expected, coordination is fragmented, or teams want a more joined-up approach to continuous delivery and operational learning.

Prerequisites
Anyone can attend the course. For those wanting to get the most from the material, some experience in software delivery, product delivery, or working in or around a SAFe environment will be helpful, but it is not a hard barrier to attendance.
- Some experience in software development and or product delivery is useful
- Experience of working with cross-functional teams is helpful
- Some familiarity with SAFe or Agile ways of working will make the course easier to apply
Why organisations choose this course
It gives teams a practical way to look at the whole delivery system, not just one role or one stage, and helps surface where delays, handoffs, controls, and local optimisations are getting in the way of faster value delivery.
It is especially useful where teams feel busy but flow is still slow, or where release and deployment processes are creating friction between business and technology groups.

Delivery options
We provide this as a private course for organisations, either remotely or in person. That works particularly well for DevOps learning, because the real value often comes from bringing the people across the delivery system into the same conversation rather than training roles in isolation.
Remote delivery can be supported with collaborative tools and workshop exercises, and in-person delivery can be arranged across the UK, Europe, the USA, and beyond.
Current SAFe curriculum
Scaled Agile Inc. positions SAFe DevOps as a way to apply a shared DevOps mindset and process across technical and non-technical roles, evaluate the current DevOps state, and improve speed and flow across the delivery pipeline from concept to release.
