A toolkit for every context
The Disciplined Agile Scrum Master certification is built on the premise that no single agile framework fits every organisation. The Disciplined Agile (DA) toolkit draws on hundreds of proven practices from Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, and other approaches, giving practitioners the knowledge to select and tailor the most effective way of working for their team and environment.
Earning the DASM empowers you to create an optimal approach suited to your unique organisation or industry. Rather than applying a prescribed set of steps, DASM-certified practitioners understand how to adapt their way of working based on context, pragmatism, and the Disciplined Agile mindset.
Delivered by Laurence Wood, Senior Agile Trainer and Leadership Coach, the course combines the theory of the DA toolkit with practical, interactive exercises designed to make learning applicable to real-world delivery challenges.
What your people will learn
- Agile and lean fundamentals, and how to use both approaches to produce value for teams
- Multiple agile and lean techniques from methods including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
- How to put these techniques into practice for successful implementation
- The Disciplined Agile mindset and its underlying principles: pragmatism, the power of choice, and adapting to context
- How to use the Disciplined Agile toolkit to discover the most effective way of working for any situation
- How to build and support a Disciplined Agile team
- How to initiate, build, and deploy a solution with a tailored way of working
- How to influence agile thinking and practice outside the team
Why organisations choose DASM
Organisations that operate across multiple teams, industries, or methodologies benefit from practitioners who are not locked into a single framework. The DASM equips agile practitioners to work pragmatically: selecting from a broad toolkit and adapting their approach based on what actually works in context.
For organisations already using SAFe or Scrum, the DASM broadens practitioners' perspectives and gives them language and tools for continuous improvement beyond a fixed rulebook.

Delivery options
We offer this course as a private cohort for organisations, or as a public course where individuals can book a place alongside practitioners from other organisations. Both formats are available remotely or in person across the UK, Europe, and the USA.
Private delivery keeps the discussion grounded in your team's actual context. Public delivery is ideal where individuals want to train alongside peers from outside their organisation.
