Building enterprise implementation capability, not just course attendance

Implementing SAFe is the broadest and most transformation-focused of the core SAFe courses. It is designed for people who need to do more than understand the framework, they need to help plan, lead, coach, and sustain change across an organisation. The course develops the practical grounding needed to identify value streams, launch Agile Release Trains, strengthen portfolio alignment, and support the wider leadership and organisational conditions that make change stick.

This course also serves as the route into the SAFe Practice Consultant certification. Because of the certification and enablement model around SPC, this course is delivered through our partnership with SAFe Gold Partner Agile Agilist, while still giving you the practical, high-quality AgilityPro experience and facilitation style.

The current Scaled Agile course also incorporates AI-empowered themes for the SPC role, with a pragmatic focus on using AI to support coaching materials, transformation artefacts, portfolio visibility, communication, and guidance, while keeping human judgement firmly in the loop.

What your people will learn

  • How to plan and guide a SAFe implementation using the implementation roadmap
  • How to identify value streams and design Agile Release Trains
  • How to launch trains, support PI Planning, and coach ART execution
  • How Lean-Agile leadership, mindset, and principles shape transformation success
  • How product development flow and DevOps support better delivery performance
  • How Lean Portfolio Management connects investment, strategy, and execution
  • How to support large solution integration and wider portfolio evolution
  • How to measure progress, improve flow, and accelerate business agility over time

Domain topics covered in the current course

The current Implementing SAFe course goes into more depth than most role-based SAFe courses, which makes the domain structure itself useful to surface on the page for prospective attendees and internal buyers.

  • Adapt and thrive with SAFe: thriving in disruption, building a Lean-Agile organisation
  • Build a foundation with mindset, values, and principles: Lean-Agile mindset, SAFe core values, SAFe principles, and empowering agility with AI
  • Establish team and technical agility: cross-functional teams, ARTs, built-in quality, and DevOps
  • Product development flow: customer centricity, design thinking, prioritisation, PI Planning, and PI execution
  • Explore Lean Portfolio Management: portfolio strategy, portfolio vision, epics, lean budgets, guardrails, and portfolio flow
  • Lead the change: leading by example, leading change, and using AI to support leaders
  • Reach the SAFe tipping point: establishing the vision for change and building the guiding coalition
  • Design the implementation: identifying value streams and ARTs, then building the implementation plan
  • Launch an Agile Release Train: preparing for launch, training teams, and facilitating distributed PI Planning
  • Coach ART execution: Inspect and Adapt, problem solving, and continuous improvement
  • Large solution integration and delivery: launching additional ARTs and value streams, operating a Solution Train, and integrating large solutions
  • Enhance the portfolio and accelerate business agility: portfolio operations, measuring performance, strategy agility, measure and grow, flow acceleration, and appropriate SAFe customisation
