Beyond the SPC — developing expert-level SAFe consulting capability
The Advanced SAFe Practice Consultant course is designed for SPCs who are ready to go beyond framework knowledge and develop the consulting skills that make transformation leadership genuinely effective. This is not a refresher or a repeat of Implementing SAFe. It is a peer-level, practitioner-led programme that challenges experienced consultants to sharpen how they work with senior stakeholders, tailor SAFe to organisational context, and apply emerging practices including AI to their consulting approach.
The course is structured around six domains, each grounded in real implementation challenges: engaging executives, building transformation strategy, integrating AI into the consulting role, advancing portfolio flow, and applying principled SAFe customisation. A significant part of the programme is peer-to-peer learning, where attendees bring their own experience into structured exercises and give and receive structured feedback from others operating at the same level.
This course is also delivered through our partnership with SAFe Gold Partner Agile Agilist, while still giving you the practical, high-quality AgilityPro experience and facilitation style. Matt Hosking co-trains and brings deep enterprise implementation experience from working with SAFe since 2012.

- Engaging Executives: structured approaches to influencing senior leaders, framing transformation decisions, and building commitment at the top of organisations
- Developing a Transformation Strategy: applying proven approaches to diagnosing organisational context, sequencing change, and building a practical transformation roadmap
- Unlocking Portfolio Flow: advanced Lean Portfolio Management instruction, including portfolio strategy, investment prioritisation, and flow acceleration
- Customising SAFe: applying Scaled Agile's customisation guidance to adapt SAFe appropriately for specific organisational structures, constraints, and operating models

Prerequisites
The A-SPC is an advanced course with a mandatory prerequisite. Attendees must hold an active SPC certification before attending.
- Active SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification — this is a hard prerequisite, not a recommendation
- Relevant experience supporting SAFe implementations at team, ART, or portfolio level
- Enough organisational context to participate meaningfully in peer-learning exercises and case-based discussion
